We have been involved with BNG since before its formal launch, creating the county’s two pilot schemes in conjunction with Gloucestershire Nature + Climate Fund (the approved supplier & enabler for Gloucestershire’s planning authorities  https://glosncf.com/  ) on our director’s own farm in the Forest of Dean (National Character Area 104) and also on a client’s land within Tewkesbury District Council within National Character Area 106 (which runs from the Southern edge of Birmingham down to Portishead encompassing multiple local planning authorities  with no requirement for an additional unit multiplier).

Further schemes have credits available in Herefordshire (National Character Area 104) and with different habitats, include wetland mosaic areas, on another client’s farm also in the Forest of Dean (National Character Area 106).

All of our schemes have been visited & verified by planning officers and ecologists from the site’s local authority and will be created (with specialist consultant advice where needed) & maintained by the long term landowners, thus giving authorities and unit purchasers the confidence that the habitats will be properly run by existing established local businesses.

There are a substantial number of BNG units across multiple habitat types available with pre agreed s.106 and broker agreements to allow for swift processing of sales and their allocation for off-site BNG units.
